Father’s Day

“To the WORLD you are a Dad, to our FAMILY you are the world.”

My husband, Luke is the father to our two sweet boys-Brody and Jaxton. We have been married for three years this October. Even though we had our kids a lot sooner than planned, it has been an amazing experience for us to share together. Luke was so proud that his first child was a boy and to get a second one, he was even more proud! ( and I think he is super excited to have help mowing our land when the boys get bigger). He is a definite outdoors man, in which he loves to have the boys outside to fish and walk the land with him. Brody is older than Jax so he is Luke’s shadow for sure right now. Even when Luke is gone during the day Brody tries to do all the things Luke does outside when they are together.

Watching Luke become a Father and take on the role has been incredible. I am thankful to have him by my side. He is always there to remind me that its okay to let the boys get dirty and to not always have them dressed up perfectly. They are boys! I really have been able to let things go that I would usually freak out over thanks to Luke. He reminds me that perfection is not worth trying to strive for but living in the moment is. I was always focused on having the house clean, the boys dressed and happy-everything in order. The house doesn’t have to be perfect. It needs to show proof that there is life in our home. Life of two boys that is! I do still TRY and keep the house somewhat tidy but I don’t stress out about the little things anymore. Luke is my other half to remind me to sit back and enjoy life. Its going to be okay if things don’t go the way I’d like them to ( whew. that was a tough one to write 😉 ) I am so grateful for Luke. He no longer is a single guy I fell head over heels for and married, he is now a loving father to our boys and that makes him even more attractive. Thank you Luke for all you do for our family. We love you!
